Frequently Asked Questions
Are you handicap accessible?
Our restrooms are handicap accessible and we have considered handicap needs in our designs as we have renovated the property.
Can we take engagement photos?
Yes! You are more than welcome to take engagement or bridal photos after booking. Please contact us to schedule a time for your photos to avoid overlapping events. Out of respect for all of our clients, no venue visits will be scheduled on event days.
Is there lodging close by?
Yes, Georgetown and Cedar Park offer a variety of lodging options.
Do you provide tables, chairs, and linens?
We have 400 fruit wood folding garden chairs, ten 60 inch round tables, twenty 72 inch round tables, and twenty hand crafted 8 foot long farm tables. We will coordinate with you on a layout of tables and chairs that works best for your event. Shooting Star Ranch will set up and break down tables and chairs. If you need additional tables and chairs, or would like a reference for linens, we would be happy to refer you to third party vendors. Linens are not provided.
How long do we get to use your facilities?
For one day events, you have the venue starting at 9:00 am. We will have our tables and chairs set up and ready for you prior to 9:00 am. If this is not enough time for you to set up your event, please talk to us about renting the venue the day before at a discounted rate (if available). The venue will be available to you until midnight for a total of 15 hours. Please note that midnight is when all items should be removed and guests departed. All serving of alcohol must stop by 11:00 pm and music turned off at 11:00 pm in order to facilitate all items and guests to be gone by midnight.
Who is in charge of cleanup?
You will not be in charge of sweeping or cleaning anything at Shooting Star Ranch. However, you will be in charge of clearing tables at the end of the evening, collecting your table linens, taking down all decor, and removing all items that were provided by your party.
What do we do if it rains?
There are several rain plan options. Our barn has the capacity to seat approximately 200 guests for a sit-down dinner.
You are also welcome to hire a third-party vendor to set up a tent. There are multiple areas at our venue that could accomodate any size tent you would like.
What are the rules for alcohol?
Any and all alcohol that is served must be served by a TABC bartender. No alcohol is permitted to be self-served at guest tables or anywhere on property where a TABC bartender is not serving alcohol. All who consume alcohol must be prepared to show a government issued ID. Security is required if you have alcohol. An approved list of TABC bartenders and security personnel is provided on our recommended vendors list.
